Oak Hill Mansion Wedding: Audrey & Blake

December 3

Murrell-545

So excited to share this sweet couple with you! As I type this, my cat Pazzo is chasing the letters with his paw as they grow in length on my screen. To give you a little extra visual. If you’re new here, hi there! My name is Caitlin and I live in a tiny apartment with my best pal, Pazzo. We’re plugging away on photos over here next to a twinkling tree.  Super excited to share Audrey and Blake’s wedding with you.

Remember Audrey and Blake’s engagement session? It was that time I shot in the snow and loved every second! I secretly wish I could shoot just as much in snow as I do in warm weather. It’s always so beautiful if there’s a blanket of snow on the ground and aside from the colder temps and pink noses you’ll get, all of the white makes for awesome light and the images just pop.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a bride more excited to marry a groom EVER than Audrey was to marry Blake. It was a perfect October day at Oak Hill Mansion. Check out some of their moments…

Blake is the ultimate gentleman and looked so handsome and classic on his wedding day.

This may be one of my favorite images I’ve taken all year. Love this so much!

Guys

Audrey, you are a stunner!

Audrey and Blake had a perfect blend of fall colors for their special day.

The bride with her matron and maid of honor. To the left is Audrey’s cousin and oldest, dearest friend, Lisa 🙂 Lisa walked Audrey down the aisle and it was probably one of the best moments I’ve seen all year.

Audrey’s bouquet was seriously incredible. The succulent painted gold was my favorite detail.

Oldest and dearest friends. 🙂 I love this!

Audrey’s father has passed and in memory of him, there was a seat front and center at the ceremony with his photo and a rose. It’s simple details like this that make the day so special and unique to the couple. I can only imagine how proud of Audrey he was that day.

The flower girl’s mother was sitting in front of me as she walked up the aisle. My heart melted as she and the ring bearer came closer, the sweetest little things! When I turned around with my camera to get Blake’s reaction, the flower girl’s mother had the biggest tears welling in her eyes before one giant alligator tear fell down her check as she smiled at her little girl. I totally get her beaming with pride. I was almost crying myself : ) but that is no surprise to anyone here.

We had all the guests gather round for a photo immediately following the ceremony. This was only made possible by a balcony I stood on. Thanks, Oak Hill Mansion, for making this possible!

The Swisher Family: Chris, Kelsey, Tucker, Tanner Ripley & Lu

December 2

Swisher-281

Hey friends, the Swisher family is back! I love this family so so so much!

If you’ve followed along here for some time, you will surely recognize them. I used to nanny for Ripley (their 3rd and youngest boy) when he was just 6 months old. My sweet friend, Kali, introduced me to them at a time when they needed someone to watch little Ripley. I instantly fell in love with them! They are just those people who you are SO lucky to have in your corner if you know them. They are the sweetest, most authentic family. Let’s dive into the photos! These first 5 photos I took pretty much in the first 10 minutes of shooting. Man these guys are photogenic…

Lulu, Tuck, Ripley and Tanner. I’ve mentioned this before, but being the youngest of four myself, I love photographing a family of 6 so much. It’s a small glimpse into what it was like for my parents raising 4 of us and whoa man, so much love and gratitude for my parents. Same goes for Kelsey and Chris. Tanner with his hand in his pocket on the right? Little details like that I love so much in a photo like this.Swisher-176

Have I mentioned I love photographing families?

Kelsey is one of those most amazing moms I know. She makes parenting 4 kids look effortless. I am in awe of her and Chris and the way they guide their family.

Editing these, it’s clear I have a connection with Rip. So many candids of him. I still remember taking video of him on my phone when he rolled over for the first time and sending it to his parents. “Rip rolled over today!!!” I’ll always have a special place for him in my heart. Love you, Ripley Duke!

Lulu is so lucky to have 3 awesome big brothers to protect her in this life. I couldn’t have picked 3 better ones for her than Tuck, Rip and Tann.
